The T-shirt Logo
The logo depicts a white stylized seven-petal Gardenia (栀子花) flower in the center of a round circle. Gardenia is an evergreen flowering plant native to much of Asia and Pacific Islands, acknowledging the diverse origins of AAPI communities. The seven petals and their circular arrangement represent inclusivity, completeness, unity and perfection. White evokes the universal color for purity. The logo was created last year by Sophie Wang, then a 5th grader at Chenery Middle School in Belmont, MA. Sophie is advised by her art teacher Ms. Constance Lane of the Art Students' Exchange in Lexington, MA. |
