
Wei Zhang is a mathematician specializing in number theory and he is currently a Professor of Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He grew up in Sichuan province in China and went to Peking university, before coming to the US in 2004 as a grad student. He has been a Belmont resident since 2018.
Linda Champion is an American politician, attorney, opinion columnist and educator. In 2018 she ran for District Attorney in Suffolk County in Massachusetts and is an alumni of the Emerge program for female political candidates. She is a Suffolk County Prosecutor and serves as Legal Counsel to the Suffolk County Municipal and District Courts. She is the Vice President of the Korean American Citizens League of New England, Vice President of Public Relations and Compliance with Boston OKTA Korean Business Association, and an Advisor to the Education Divide Reform ("EDR") education program for social inclusion and community development. She is a graduate from Suffolk University and Suffolk Law School. Champion has also volunteered for several charitable organizations, including fundraising for Thompson Island, The Dimock Center; the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Association; and the Whitter Street Health Center. She serves on several boards, including the Community Advisory Board for GBH public television and radio in Boston, Advisor to the President of Whittier Street Health Center; she is appointed to the Equity and Justice For All Task Force in Milton, Mass; appointed as Commissioner to Eastern Region Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women and Girls; appointed in 2022 by Governor Maura Healey, the first woman elected Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and first openly gay woman elected to statewide office, to serve as a member of her transition committee; and appointed by Auditor Diana DiZoglio the 26th State Auditor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a member of her transition team.
Dipali Trivedi is an MIT graduate and a serial entrepreneur. She is currently working as co-founder and CTO of Everyday Life, a FinTech startup that serves middle-income families with innovative insurance products and financial planning. Prior to Everyday Life, she founded CloudFountain Inc., a consulting firm focused on big data and Salesforce CRM consulting. She volunteers and and serve as board advisor for various non-profit organizations in USA, India, and Africa. She is an advocate and influencer for Women in Tech to break glass ceiling and fight gender bias. She lives in Belmont MA with her husband and her kids, she loves to run, hike and travel.
Zhiwei Yun was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Peking University in 2004, and the PhD degree from Princeton University in 2009. He had faculty appointments at Stanford and at Yale, before joining the MIT faculty in 2018. Yun’s research is at the crossroads between algebra, geometry and number theory. He uses geometric tools to solve problems in number theory and group theory, which is the study of symmetry. He received the 2012 SASTRA Ramanujan Prize and the 2013 Packard Fellowship. Together with Wei Zhang, Yun received the 2018 New Horizons Breakthrough Prize in Mathematics for their joint work. He was an invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in 2018. In 2019, he received the Gold Medal by the International Congress of Chinese Mathematicians. He was also selected to be a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society. In 2020, he received a Simons Investigatorship in Mathematics.

Originally from Penang, Malaysia, Kwan Kew Lai attended Wellesley College on a full scholarship, paving the way for her to become a doctor. In 2005, she left her position as a professor of medicine to dedicate time to humanitarian work: in HIV/AIDS in Africa and to provide disaster relief all over the world, during wars, famine, and natural disasters, including the Ebola outbreak, the Syrian, Rohingya refugee crises, Yemen, and the COVID-19 pandemic in New York and the Navajo Nation. She is a three-time recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Her work has appeared in Science Speaks, MedPage Today, Balloon Literary Journal, Literally Stories, Vine Leave Press, and others. She is the author of Lest We Forget: A Doctor’s Experience with Life and Death During the Ebola Outbreak, Into Africa, Out of Academia: A Doctor’s Memoir, and The Girl Who Taught Herself to Fly. She lives in Belmont.
